Wine Country Festivals – 2023
It’s no secret that there are a lot of fun things to do and experience in the Napa-Sonoma Wine Country region. It’s one of California’s most popular destinations, after all, especially for travelers who like to focus their visits around eating excellent food and drinking extraordinary wine.
If that describes you, you’ll definitely want to check out this Wine Country festivals list. It could even help you decide when to visit.
That is, depending on your personal preferences — wine and beer are well represented on the list, of course, but you’ll also find celebrations featuring cheese, seafood, apples and even citrus! — you can design a trip around what you enjoy the most!
Visiting during a region’s Restaurant Week is always a good choice, and you’ll have two opportunities here since Napa and Sonoma host separate promotions. Both are scheduled during the region’s slow season, too, which means everything — restaurants, tasting rooms, roads, etc. — is less crowded. You might even find better airfare and accommodation prices during that time, as well.
For each entry on the list, you’ll find the date(s) it’s scheduled to occur, the Napa-Sonoma city in which it’s to take place, plus a link to a website where you can find additional details. It’s a good idea to make note of the website and recheck to verify the details closer to the actual date, and if you’re unsure about the location of an event you may want to use the Wine Country maps here for clarification.
The list includes many dates for 2022 festivals and a few for which the 2023 date has already been set. ***Every 2023 event is marked with a triple-asterisk to avoid confusion.***
Also, if you’re planning a 2023 trip, you might wonder if these are typically annual events held during the same month every year. Many are, however, occasionally an event is moved to a different month. We plan to update this list frequently, but you can also contact an event’s host to see if the 2023 date has set but not yet announced.
